कवरेज करने गए पत्रकार से भिड़ी पुलिस

उत्तर प्रदेश के कानपुर जिले में पुलिस द्वारा एक पत्रकार से बदसलूकी का मामला सामने आया है. राजकीय बालगृह (बालिका) की कवरेज कर रहे पत्रकार के साथ पुलिस ने ना केवल गाली-गलौज की बल्कि, उसको हवालात में बंद कर के बुरी तरह मारा-पीटा भी. स्वरूपनगर थाने में मौजूद सिपाही विनोद कुमार, जितेंद्र कुमार, विपिन, चौकी इंचार्ज राम चौहान, चौकी इंचार्ज यशवंत सिंह और थाने के मुन्शी ने हिन्दी ख़बर टीवी के पत्रकार अंकित सिंह व वीडियो जॉर्नलिस्ट शुभम शुक्ला को हवालात में बंद कर बुरी तरह पीटा.

पिट रहा लोकतंत्र का प्रहरी

भारत को दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा लोकतंत्र होने का गौरव प्राप्त है. पत्रकारिता को लोकतंत्र का चौथा स्तंभ और पत्रकारों को लोकतंत्र का प्रहरी कहा जाता है. जहां एक तरफ पत्रकारिता लोगों में जागरूकता पैदा करके लोकतंत्र को मज़बूती प्रदान करता है तो वहीं लोकतंत्र के दूसरे स्तंभों यानी कार्यपालिका और न्यायपालिका पर भी नज़र रखता है. कानपुर जनपद के पत्रकारों को अपना काम ईमानदारी से करने का इनाम ज़ख्म की शक्ल में मिले तो इससे न सिर्फ देश की कानून व्यवस्था सवालों के घेरे में आ जाती है बल्कि यह लोकतंत्र के लिए भी ठीक नही है.
